Fabric-base Laminate - Laminated insulating material formed by bonding woven cloth (of fiber glass, cotton, asbestos or synthetic fibers) with resin under heat and pressure. Facer Sheet - The outermost layer of a laminate.
Fiber Glass - Glass in fibrous form.
Glass Reinforced Laminates - Laminated materials using fibrous glass as a reinforcing element.
Sizing - Material applied to a surface to fill pores. Also the surface treatment
applied to fiber glass to facilitate weaving and to promote adhesion of applied resins. Slot - One of the grooves formed in the iron core of a motor or generator armature for the conductors forming the armature winding.
Base - The material woven (such as paper, woven cotton, glass fabric or glass fiber mat, felted asbestos, and nylon fabric) in the form of sheets or rolls which can be impregnated with resin to form laminated plastics.
Battery - A number of primary or secondary cells grouped together as a single source of electricity.
